Job Description

We have an awesome opportunity become available to join our fabulous team at our Havelock North pool!

Hilton Brown Swimming came into existence in 1973 and we have been successfully teaching New Zealanders to swim for over 50 years. We have 8 swim schools in the Upper North Island and teach learn to swim to infants, preschoolers, school age children and adults.

We provide FULL training to all our instructors. We hire people with great communication skills and a positive can-do attitude who have a love of helping others succeed. Then we train them to become the best swimming instructors possible. It is essential that you have a love of the water and enjoy interacting with children.

We are currently looking to train Instructors to teach our Learn to Swim programme.

As a Learn to Swim Instructor you will be teaching preschool and school aged children the basics of swimming and water safety. You do not need to be an amazing swimmer, but you do need to have a passion for ensuring that the next generation of New Zealanders grow up being capable and confident in the water.

Hours of work:

We have a variety of shifts available including weekday afternoons 3:15pm - 6:15pm and weekends 7:45am - 12:15. Successful applicants would be available for 2 - 3 shifts per week (including a weekend morning) and in a position to commit to the role for at least 12 months.

Please note that you need to be at least 16 years of age to become a Swimming Instructor.
