The Opportunity
We are seeking a Calf-Rearer to assist our team at our purpose-built calf rearing facility. Exeter is at the forefront of Pāmu’s non replacement calf strategy reducing the number of surplus calves on our pastoral farms. This also aligns with our dairy beef strategy as we will be supplying our livestock farms.

Your day-to-day activities may consist of, feeding calves, general hygiene, picking up calves, administering animal health treatments and processing calves through the cattle yards.

There is no accommodation onsite so reliable transport is required.

The Farm
Located only 15 minutes from central Taupo, Exeter Calf Rearing aims to rear 2800 calves this spring.

Exeter is 84 effective ha with brand new infrastructure. Our purpose-built shed can hold up to 720 calves at a time. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to make large scale calf rearing enjoyable and efficient for staff.

About You
No prior experience is needed; however the role can be physically demanding so stamina and fitness are essential in this role.

What you will bring:

• A good eye for detail and a willingness to learn
• To be punctual and reliable
• The ability to work unsupervised
• Driver's licence
• You must be able to lift 20kg.
