Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead on a 6-month maternity cover contract with the potential for a permanent position. Lead a team of 11 software engineers, work hands-on with C#, .NET, Blazor, and more, driving innovation in digital insurance solutions.
Our client is seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineer Team Lead to join their team. Reporting directly to the CIO, you'll co-lead a talented group of engineers, guiding them in the development of cutting-edge digital solutions for the organisation's insurance products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of technologies and play a pivotal role in the company's digital transformation journey.
As a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, you'll be instrumental in leading a team of 11 software engineers. You'll collaborate closely with another lead, sharing the leadership responsibilities for a team that has expanded to 22 engineers. Your technical expertise and leadership will be critical as you guide the team in developing a digital portal for the organisation's insurance risk screens and APIs for broker connections.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 11 software engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other leads.
- Stay hands-on with coding and technical problem-solving.
- Facilitate upskilling and training initiatives.
- Oversee API product development and digital portal projects.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in C#, .NET, Blazor, SQL Server, and Azure.
- Experience with both cloud and on-premises solutions.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple squads and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Strong technical acumen and hands-on coding ability.
