About the Role
As our Hostel Manager in Rotorua, you'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our hostel. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing our team, and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. Think of it as running your own awesome mini-hotel, with a focus on community and culture. π‘
The Role Will Involve
- Managing daily hostel operations, including check-in/check-out, guest services, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. π§Ή
- Supervising and motivating a team of hostel staff, providing training and support, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. π€
- Handling bookings, reservations, and guest inquiries efficiently and professionally. π»
- Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations. π¦
- Implementing and enforcing hostel policies and procedures. π
- Creating and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all guests. π€
- Promoting the hostel and its services to potential guests. π£
- Managing finances, including daily cash handling and reporting. π°
- Addressing guest concerns and resolving issues promptly and effectively. π
- Collaborating with the wider Haka House team to maintain brand consistency and enhance the guest experience.
