We're seeking six Operations Consultant's to join our dynamic Lending Operations team on a 6-month fixed-term to help us through an upcoming busy period.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring operational excellence while delivering top-notch customer service. You'll be responsible for maintaining a delicate balance between service, business, policy and risk considerations, showcasing your sound judgement and decision-making skills.

Mo te tūranga | About the role:
Lending Operations is comprised of five teams, Loan Documentation, Loan Advancing, Loan & Data Maintenance, Lending Security Integrity and Approvals, and Security Alterations.
The team performs a range of processes from documenting loans, advancing loans and maintaining in host loans after they have been processed. The teams also provide support and maintenance on CCAF facilities and data maintenance updates against facilities in Calypso, SAP, MTS, PPP and ASB Direct.
The team service all ASB customer segments and are part of the wider ASB Operations Team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering superior customer service; own the "experience" in responding to and effectively managing and resolving customer / stakeholder enquires, complaints and issues.
- To provide expert advice and knowledge on ASB's lending requirements.
- Demonstrating an active interest in learning and applying various Operations Excellence tools such as lean, agile, DMAIC, human centred design and data analysis/ root cause analysis.
- Contribute to building a proactive risk management culture within the team where all staff 'own our risks.'
- Contribute to business planning by sharing observations/ insights of customer experience/ opportunities and pain points and suggest possible initiatives to improve.

This role will suit an ambitious individual who always prides themselves on the delivery of outstanding customer service and has a curious, investigative mindset.
Further to your success will be:
- Your demonstrated ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment.
- Technically savvy and able to learn and utilise various ASB systems quickly.
- Great numerical skills and a keen eye for detail is essential.
- The ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing is essential.
- You will also need to be a team player with the ability to think outside the box to solve unique problems.
- 2-3 years banking experience, experience in lending would be an advantage.
