Job Description
Our client is a prominent name in the health sector, delivering an excellent track record with nationwide reach and forming part of a wider Australian listed entity. We are seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to oversee operations at their Mangere-based facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a background in warehouse and distribution management to join a well-established and growing organisation.
About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a busy distribution centre for a key client, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards. You’ll lead a team of 10+, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless stock management and order fulfilment while maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, distribution, and returns.
- Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and report on KPIs to drive operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Oversee warehouse/site/facility from a day-to-day operational perspective and be a key project member in site relocation while supporting the SAP/WMS integration.
What My Client is Looking For:
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution centre leadership role, ideally within healthcare, medical, or pharmaceutical distribution.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and warehouse management systems (SAP/WMS preferred).
- Proven ability to manage teams, drive performance, and implement process improvements.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
