Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, including Programme Directors and Project Managers, to provide strategic financial insights, robust planning, and decision-making support. Your expertise will help drive sound financial management, ensuring risks are effectively managed and outcomes are optimised. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce timely and accurate financial reporting that supports key project outcomes
- Partner closely with project teams to develop a clear understanding of progress, risks, and financial performance
- Ensure adherence to robust financial controls and compliance standards within the project framework
- Own the month-end financial process, ensuring precision in reporting and analysis
- Prepare rolling forecasts that identify project out turn positions, variances, and funding requirements
- Manage cash flow projections and communicate funding needs
- Provide financial planning, strategic decision-making support, and detailed variance analysis
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and outcomes
- Collaborate with the Programme Commercial Manager and senior leadership on budgeting and forecasting processes
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an accomplished finance professional with a strong background in project finance or capital investment programmes. You will have demonstrated experience in large corporate environments, strong influencing skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (essential)
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in large or complex organisations
- Proven expertise in project finance, investment planning, or capital programme management
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and BI reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
