Job Description

Tranzit is an award-winning transport and tourism provider operating throughout NZ.

We are looking for an energetic individual with strong work ethic and fantastic communication skills to join us as an Operations Coordinator and support our Hawkes Bay team with delivering a premium service to our drivers, clients, and passengers.

Our busy operation covers school transport, charter, tour and cruise services. Some of our key clients include schools, the Ministry of Education, and cruise/tour companies.

We pride ourselves on our safety, service and reliability and we are seeking someone who has the same passion for delivering this to our clients as we do. A passion working with a diverse range of clients in a fast-paced environment is a must. Work hours can vary due to the nature of our industry with support after hours as and when required.

The role:

  • Support the day-to-day operations team,
  • Handling customer enquiries,
  • Coordinate bookings and prepare quotes for our services,
  • Maintain regular communication with our clients
  • Book travel arrangements,
  • Assist with investigations, incidents and resolution of complaints,
  • Ensure any delays in services are mitigated and managed appropriately,
  • Provide general operational support to the wider team with various administrative tasks.


About you:

  • Full Class 1 licence (for at least two years)
  • Willingness to obtain your P endorsement and Class 2 (we can support you with this)
  • Previous experience in an operational, administration or customer service role - ideally in the transport and passenger service industry,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - liaising with customers
  • Strong numerical skills and understanding,
  • Solid organisation and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise your day efficiently,
  • Comfortable working under pressure,
  • Computer savvy with ability to adapt to new systems and software, (Confident working with Excel is a bonus!)
  • Ability to develop strong relationships,
  • A positive attitude and a team player.
