About the role
Your career as a Caregiver will thrive working at Highlands in Highland Park, East Auckland. Your passionate experience and kindness to provide care for our residents will see you exceed in this role.
We have a permanent, part time position working 18 hours per week as follows:
Saturday 3pm to 9.30pm, Sunday 7am to 2pm & Monday 7am to 1pm = 18 hours week.
There will be opportunity for you to pick up additional shifts if desired.
Duties:
- Provide resident directed care and support to our residents.
- Work under the direction of a Registered nurse as part of the Care Team.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and choice.
- Contributes to and demonstrates knowledge and use of resident directed Care Plans.
- Provide support for the family.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Hold Health and Wellbeing certificate preferred.
- Excellent attitude and demonstrate self-motivation and proactiveness.
- Previous experience in aged care or working with the elderly is preferred.
- Problem solving and decisive decision-making skills.
- Empathy and love making a difference in our residents' lives.
