Madison Recruitment is partnering with Te Kaunihera Rata o Aotearoa | Medical Council of New Zealand (the Council) to recruit for a Team Leader, Professional Standards. About the Medical Council of New Zealand:

The Medical Council is the regulatory body for doctors in New Zealand, committed to public health and safety. It oversees the registration of doctors, sets professional standards, and ensures compliance, taking action when necessary to uphold the integrity of medical practice.

About the Role:

The Professional Standards team manages investigations and resolutions related to concerns about medical practitioners’ performance or conduct. As the Team Leader, Professional Standards, you will play a key role in leading a dedicated team focused on ensuring that doctors are fit to practise.

This role involves:

  • Leading and supporting a team of case managers handling performance-related notifications.
  • Overseeing daily work allocation and prioritisation.
  • Embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
