Dimond is New Zealand's largest manufacturer of steel roofing, cladding, structural and rainwater products. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversifies global building industry company.
Our customers are the heart of what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Trade Counter Representative to join our talented Auckland team. As our successful Trade Counter Representative, you will be responsible for securing sales and supporting existing internal and external stakeholders.
Daily tasks will involve face to face interaction with both existing and potential customers, responding to technical queries with high level of professionalism and offering solution-based support. Also, providing customers with quotes, processing orders, and providing support to our Sales Reps.
This position plays a pivotal part in our organisation and as such you will need to:
- Ability to pick up and understand technical material, as you will be dealing with a wide range of questions relating to a variety of our product offerings.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and thrive in providing a customer service experience that is second to none.
- Execute administration tasks as required in a tidy and accurate manner.
- Be a strong team player.
- Promote safe working practices and environment.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
To succeed in this role:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role as a Trade Counter Representative or in frontline Customer Services within the roofing/building industry.
- You will be able to find solutions to technical and product enquiries to meet our customer’s needs.
- Be confident talking to and influencing people both face to face and over the phone.
- You will be computer savvy and have good time management skills.
- Be able to build strong relationships with people at all levels.
