He angitūtanga: The opportunity
In this role your primary focus will be the delivery and development of in person research services for the general public. You’ll also be responsible for a range of general site-based library tasks at the Manukau Research Centre.
Researcher Services in the onsite team is responsible for high quality customer service at research centre locations; we support the care and use of published research collections at these locations. The team works closely with the community library or hub location and other functional teams within the Information and Literacy Services Unit.
You will be responsible for a range of general site-based tasks at the Manukau Research Centre including carrying out rostered reference desk shifts and retrieval and shelving of research collections. Manukau Research Centre specialises in local, family history, New Zealand history and Māori research. You will use this collection to help you respond to queries from both virtual and in-person customers.
We are looking to fill a 24-hr permanent part time role that will be working on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (6hrs each day).
