About The Role



Working hours - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm



Based at the onsite clinic at our East Tamaki campus, our Occupational Health team (including doctors, nurses, Occupational Health Physician, Occupational Health Advisors, Psychologist and Physiotherapist) supports our workforce of 4000+ employees, working in manufacturing, warehousing, engineering, research & development and office-based environments. As a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse, you will complete a range of medical activities, including administering onboarding health assessments, walk-in clinic and return to work health checks.

You will also manage a patient case load and assist with a variety of medical issues from minor illnesses and medical concerns to emergency scenarios requiring a high level of care and rapid response.



The role supports our people from Mon-Fri where regular hours accommodate both you and our people (no weekend, night or split shifts!). We offer great work-life balance which includes the added bonus of the Christmas - New Year break. The role will be part of the wider Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, which includes Global and NZ Health and Safety Teams; Health, Safety & Ergonomics team as well as Project Managers alongside the Occupational Health Services team.



Skills & Experience

You will be a New Zealand-qualified Registered Nurse with experience working in a clinical role in New Zealand and with a desire to develop your career in Occupational Health.

Critical in performing this role will be your ability to work under pressure, think and react quickly without becoming overwhelmed, have effective communication skills including the ability to communicate to non-medical professionals.



You will be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with:

A Bachelor of Nursing is mandatory
A strong understanding of the New Zealand Code of Practice for Health Workers, ACC New Zealand framework and other associated legislation
Knowledge and/or minimum 2 years experience of Occupational Health including an understanding of Occupational Health matters (e.g pre-employment health assessments)
Experience reacting to medical emergencies and following medical emergency protocol (e.g. in scenarios such as stroke)
Experience inserting IV lines and delivering vaccinations is preferable
Able to work independently and in collaboration with other medical professionals in an MDT environment.
