About Us:

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming environment for both our clients and our team, and we are looking for a motivated, organized, and friendly individual to join our crew as a Hair Salon Assistant.

Role Overview:
As a Hair Salon Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our talented team of stylists while ensuring that our clients have a seamless, enjoyable experience. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from assisting with hair treatments and salon operations to providing exceptional customer service. A passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to delivering excellent service will help you thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet clients as they arrive, assist with check-ins, and offer beverages to create a welcoming salon environment.
Salon Support: Assist stylists with hair washing, and preparing clients for their appointments.
Salon Operations: Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salon, including sanitizing tools, restocking supplies, and managing laundry.
Administrative Support: Handle salon bookings, update client records, and manage appointment schedules using our salon software (computer literacy is essential).
Makeup Artistry/Nails (optional but an advantage): Assist with makeup services when required, offering makeup applications for clients who have booked both hair and makeup appointments.
Product Knowledge: Promote salon products and services to clients, offering advice on retail products and supporting stylists with recommendations.

Key Skills & Experience:
Computer Literacy: Comfortable using booking software, basic office programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel), and point-of-sale systems.
Multitasking Ability: Able to juggle multiple tasks , ensuring that clients' needs are met efficiently.
Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to create a positive experience for every client.
Experience in Makeup Artistry or Nails(Preferred): Previous makeup/nails experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and assist other salon staff as needed.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring the salon’s cleanliness, organization, and presentation is up to the highest standards.

Desirable Qualifications:
Previous experience in a hair salon or beauty environment is advantageous but not required.
A keen interest in hair and beauty trends.
Makeup artistry certification or experience (preferred but not essential).
