- Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as computer literacy to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- A genuine commitment to incorporating the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori into your practice to deliver culturally responsive care.
- Fresh, innovative approaches to the complex challenges faced by clients with alcohol and other drug dependencies.
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
What You'll Receive:
- Earn between $80,000 - $90,000, with additional benefits that reflect your skills and experience.
- Cover of your professional registration fees, so you can focus on your career development.
- Receive regular professional supervision and ongoing support for your professional growth and development.
- 25 days of paid annual leave.
- Access to a range of benefits designed to support your personal and professional well-being.
What You Need:
- Relevant Qualifications: A qualification in AOD Counselling is required to step into this role.
- DAPAANZ Registration: Full registration with DAPAANZ is essential.
- Clinical Experience: At least 3 years of clinical experience working in AOD or Mental Health settings, with the skills to handle complex cases.

- Clearances: You must be able to gain and maintain Ministry of Justice and Police clearances.
- Right to Work: You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to help individuals overcome the challenges they face, to change lives, and to be part of a team that is genuinely committed to making a difference.
