About the role
Based in stunning Queenstown this role sits within the Skyline central Customer Experience & Digital (CXD) team. The CXD team purpose is to connect the Skyline brand to our customers in the right moments, context, and places. The Digital Manager will play an integral role in delivering to this purpose by leading the identification and execution of comprehensive group digital strategies across all stages of the customer lifecycle.
To succeed you will be able to develop excellent cross-functional working relationships, in a multi-stakeholder environment, and take people on the journey that ensures Skyline realises the full potential of its digital channels.
While the opportunities are significant this role will best appeal to someone who is able to provide robust strategic leadership balanced with the ability to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the day-to-day delivery. And where appropriate define, develop, and seek commercial approval for new roles, to grow group capability to meet definable growth in the digital space.
Responsibilities:
- Digital strategy development: Support the creation and then lead execution of group digital strategies to align with organisational objectives.
- Platform operations: Oversee daily operations and longer-term developments of external websites (WordPress) ensuring optimal technical performance and security at all times.
- Digital optimisation: Enhance performance across all channels, including social media, search, organic, paid, etc.
- Performance & financial management: Set and measure digital KPIs that both inform and drive data-driven decisions to optimise spend, allocate resource, and system development.
- Project management: Lead projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring that they are delivered on-scope, on-time, and on-budget.
- Vendor management: Manage third party suppliers, ensuring accountability and maximising value return.
- Leadership: Provide effective leadership and mentoring to both direct and indirect reports. Where appropriate define, develop, and seek approval for new roles, supported by commercial analysis, to support defined and measurable growth in the digital space.
Your experience:
- 8+ years digital strategy leadership, ideally across diverse global territories.
- Technical CMS management (ideally WordPress) – ensuring the Skyline site is both secure and technically optimised for performance.
- Expertise in optimising digital channels (SEO/SEM, Social, Content Management, etc).
- Leadership experience in the development (and training) of digital best practices (e.g. social media, blogs, content development, key-word search, etc).
- Proven commercial acumen that has optimised initiative/resource/spend allocation.
- Proven experience to lead projects that are delivered on-scope, on-time, and on-budget.
- Managed and built teams to meet defined objectives.
- External stakeholder management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, build rapport, and influence direct and in-direct reports across all levels of the organisation.
