Job Description
Montessori Kilbirnie is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our well-established, supportive team. Nestled in a small house on a quiet street in Kilbirnie, Wellington, our centre provides a nurturing and enriching environment where children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our fully qualified and Montessori-trained teachers are deeply committed to guiding young children as they explore, make connections, and fulfill their learning potential in ways that best suit their individual needs. We embrace the wider community as an extension of our learning environment, regularly taking excursions to the Kilbirnie Library, local parks, Mount Victoria bushwalks, and our nearby retirement village.
Our curriculum is rooted in Montessori principles, focusing on five key areas: sensory development, mathematics, language, science, and practical life experiences. We believe children thrive when given responsibility and independence, and we work closely with local schools to ensure a smooth transition to the next stage of their education. Through careful observation, we tailor learning experiences to each child, fostering autonomy, concentration, and holistic development in a calm, peaceful environment.
