The mission of the CPIU is to enhance Oranga Tamariki's ability to ensure children in its care are safe from harm.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
This role will be key in providing support to the Chief Advisor and wider CPIU team in their investigations and reviews through the coordination and drafting of policies, material and the provision of advice as required. You will be the teams go-to person for getting tasks done.
This role is based in our Wellington office. Due to the operational requirements and dynamic nature of the role, it will be beneficial for you to have the close support of the team around you. Candidates for this role are required to already be based in the Wellington region or be willing to relocate to Wellington region for this opportunity.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
You will be the teams boots on the ground and bring a can-do attitude through your approach to the support you will provide. Through your proactive approach as you look for additional opportunities while maintaining a highly organised coordination service, with the ability manage multiple items and maintaining high level of attention to detail.
Key requirements of the role will also include but not limited to:
- Previous experience in the public sector.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Build and maintain relationships across an organisation, using appropriate style and method to communicate with others.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture and their community circumstances.
