Role Overview

• The Design and Sampling Assistant will support the workroom across sampling, production, and e-commerce/retail functions. This role requires strong organisational skills, technical garment knowledge, and the ability to manage workroom logistics efficiently.

Key Responsibilities


Sampling

• Manage pattern maker and coordinate sample tracking.
• Assist with local and offshore sampling, including fabric orders, tech packs, and lab dips.
• Arrange fittings, book fit models, and send calendar invites.
• Oversee spec sheet preparation, CAD drawings, and data input.
• Maintain workroom supplies and equipment.
• Ensure samples are complete and meet quality standards for final range preparation.
• Enter data into Unleashed/Shopify and maintain freight/sample movement tracking for internal use and external logistics.
• Support general workroom jobs, including maintaining organization, assisting with pressing/steaming, and ensuring workspace efficiency.

Production

• Communicate with internal teams and external production partners to manage production handover.
• Prepare rough yields and track seasonal styles.
• Assist in cutting for range, production samples, and custom orders.

Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage and create internal tracking systems.
• Basic sewing and garment construction knowledge.
• Comfortable driving an automatic car (driver’s license required).
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
