Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

You will work across a broad spectrum of resource management and environmental law matters, including resource consent applications, environmental compliance, planning, and sustainability issues. The role involves providing expert advice to a diverse client base, contributing to meaningful and high-quality legal work in this specialised area.

You will have the opportunity to advise clients across various sectors, including agribusiness, horticulture, forestry, airports, ports, climate change, emissions trading, conservation law, energy and renewables, fisheries and aquaculture, local government, Māori law, minerals and petroleum, transport, water, and wastewater. You will work closely with councils, developers, farmers, environmental groups, and individuals to help them achieve their resource management goals.

Mōhou ake | About you

  • At least 3 years of experience in resource management and environmental law
  • Strong knowledge of resource consent processes, environmental compliance, and planning law
  • A keen interest in sustainability and environmental issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
