About the opportunity:

This is a fantastic role that will suit someone who is outcome-focused, looing to build a career in the PM sector, enjoys a challenge, and is able to take initiative whilst building great relationships with our team and stakeholders. A strong pipeline of large-scale projects is available to work on in the region.

About you:

You will ideally have a base knowledge of Project Management, with specific experience in construction & infrastructure. Your excellent communication and relationship management skills will be vital in your day-to-day dealings with project teams, consultants, contractors, key stakeholders, community groups, and the public.

As a Assistant Project Manager, your main responsibility will be to assist the Senior PM on projects; Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects as they travel through their lifecycle. You will need to be a self-starter that learns quickly and takes the initiative, you will need to be customer focused and bring energy to the team.

Specifically, you will have;

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering or Project Management)
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ industry experience, ideally within NZ
  • A clean full driver’s license.
  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • Experience in managing contracts within the civil engineering industry and a sound understanding of NZS3910 and NZS3916
  • Construction and infrastructure experience
  • Impeccable communication skills, be it with colleagues, clients, or contractors.
