He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council’s Parks & Community Service department has an opportunity for a permanent part time (20 hrs) cleaner within the Whangateau Holiday Park team. This is a pivotal role within our team; you will have the responsibility to ensure all our guests are satisfied with our accommodation and facilities at the park and come away from their holiday feeling reset and relaxed!

The Park is open 7 days a week including public and school holidays, we are especially busy throughout the summer months so having the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and additional shifts are required. You will be potentially rostered on to work for 4 hours each day Tuesday - Saturday 9am onwards.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Cleaning cabins, units, and communal facilities
  • Ensuring a positive experience for our guests
  • Assisting with all other duties as required

We are seeking an enthusiastic, and customer focussed person to join our team. This is often a high-pressure role that without a doubt will keep you fit – you must be comfortable in a physically challenging role. A friendly and helpful attitude is key to ensure we are providing memorable experiences for our guests.

We will be looking for people who have:

  • Cleaning & general maintenance experience (or the ability to learn quickly on the job)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
