Position: Site Manager

Location: Murupara

Status: This is a full time waged position working Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600 [flexibility is needed as outside of normal hours may be required at times]

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our team at our Murupara and Kaiangroa Yards. Reporting into the General Manager- Forestry this is a newly created full-time salaried role created to provide vital support to our Operations Manager and wider team and help ensure the smooth and efficient running of both yards. The position is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in operations management, team coordination, and process improvement. A background in Forestry would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing operations at both Murupara and KPP Yards to ensure optimal efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Supervise and support a growing team, including managing day-to-day coordination of employees, training, and development.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety SOP’s are followed and identify areas of improvement to implement positive change
  • Ensure that all reporting requirements are met and address any concerns regarding operational performance.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies and processes introduced by our client/s, ensuring the team is trained and up-to-date on any changes.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally in a fast-paced, industrial or logistics environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to handle reporting and administrative duties accurately and efficiently.
