With our Leisure Centres more popular and busier than ever, our fitness teams play a vital part in ensuring that visitors are kept motivated, interested, and eager to return.

As a Fitness Consultant, you will be helping people achieve their health and well-being goals and delivering fitness programmes for all ages and abilities across our diverse community.

Our Leisure Centre operates seven days per week, therefore flexibility and commitment.

This is a permanent part time, 35-hour opportunity includes shifts for Monday – Sunday with shifts as early as 5:15 am – 8:00 pm

As we head into the holiday period, we will be reviewing applications in January 2025 and shortlisted candidates can be expected to be contacted the first week of January 2025.

He kōrero mōu: About you
It goes without saying that you will be passionate about fitness, health, and well-being!

A recognised fitness-related qualification is required. Knowledge of fitness training including fitness testing and monitoring of clients. The preferred candidate will have an interest in taking a variety of group fitness classes from BoxFit to HIIT, to aqua aerobics in addition to their gym shifts.

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive people who thrive on client contact and have a proven ability to communicate effectively to provide a high level of client satisfaction through the programmes you deliver.

Joining a proactive, supportive, and dynamic team, you will be a keen team player with a flexible approach. You will be comfortable asking questions and building your knowledge to be able to use your initiative to provide innovative and appropriate fitness solutions. With impeccable time management skills, you will be confident with administrative tasks and processes.

We aim to upskill and progress your career, so you can train and take on other functions within our centres, such as Lifeguard, Recreation Assistant and more. By the same token, if we occasionally need some help in other areas such as at our front desk and general customer service duties, as a team member, you may be called on to cover these areas if short-staffed or at peak periods.
