Job Description

Our client is a global energy and maritime group with a strong digital infrastructure presence in the Asia-Pacific region. They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team based in Auckland. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a sustainable digital ecosystem that combines connectivity, data storage, and value-added services for cloud and AI workloads. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to a wide range of tasks within the Finance department, from accounting to financial control, audit, and reporting. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and databases
  • Prepare and process invoices and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data


Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a role that includes the use of accounting software, financial modelling and analysis and/or financial control
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills & Fluency in English
