Job Description

Security Specialist - Identity Governance Administration

At ASB, we're all about doing what we can to help our customers get "One Step Ahead" by giving them the tools they need to manage their lives and plans for their families and future.

If you've always wanted to apply your skills to a large-scale Kiwi success story, then today is your lucky day. We are on the lookout for a Senior Security Specialist to join us in our Identity Governance Administration Squad.

The purpose of the Identity Governance Administration Squad is to seamlessly give our people within ASB with the right access at the right time.

About the role:

As a Security Specialist, you'll be part of the team that manages our current Identity Governance Administration solutions. This involves looking after the day-to-day operational capabilities within the squad and investing in fundamental services that underpin the technology stack at ASB.

Being part of ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an Agile manner while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.

You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.

We advocate for T-Shaped teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

  • Working with a modern identity governance administration solution in a large organisation that is on a major transformational journey
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and improving our systems that run on Windows & Linux, with a mix of cloud and on-prem
  • Improving identity security processes, controls and communications across stakeholder groups

About you:

We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role.

We are looking for an individual that will provide input on how identity should be managed and is ready to tackle the latest and greatest identity security solutions. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to deliver products that enable our staff to provide the best experience and solutions for our customers.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Hands-on experience in an Identity Governance Administration role
  • Understanding of Identity Security Principles
  • Strong understanding of role-based access controls and segregation of duties
  • Experience with maintaining application support processes and investigating/monitoring issues
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • The ability to work on problems from inception to completion
  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies

In addition, the following would be an advantage:

  • Experience with migration of identity security services
  • Experience with identity governance products - SailPoint IdentityNow
  • Experience with API integration
  • Experience with Postman
  • Experience with moving from an on-prem to a cloud solution
  • PowerShell and other scripting knowledge

Working at ASB:

Along with our interactions, values guide our actions and conduct, making ASB a safe and inclusive environment for both our people and our customers. They show that we care, are passionate and courageous, and that we act with integrity. Most importantly they unite us - because they are ASB.
