As cool as all the new technologies are, you know the reason why mainframes and COBOL have been around for over 60 years and are still as relevant as ever for many enterprises around the world.

Our IBM mainframe runs the bank’s core systems, and we are looking for someone who can provide technical domain expertise in CICS/COBOL/DB2, covering all aspects including development, unit test, system test, and implementation of software solutions. You will analyse, develop, and maintain high quality applications as well as providing mentorship and leadership.

Please note: - This position requires participation in an afterhours on call support roster.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Minimum of 7 years IBM mainframe experience using: COBOL, Easytrieve, DB2, VSAM, JCL, Endevor, Expeditor, SAS. Demonstrated experience of complex analysis, assessment, and delivery of appropriate recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve service and operational problems, including root cause analysis
  • Incident/problem management skills, including afterhours and on call support experience
  • Exposure to middleware integration and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Risk analysis and mitigation
  • Experience in IT Quality processes
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience of Agile methodology
