  • Based at Waikumute Cemetery, West Auckland
  • 40 hours a week - Permanent Full Time - Monday to Friday

Programmed is a leading provider in open space and full facility maintenance services. We are currently looking for assistant gardener to join our team.

In this role, your main responsibility is to look, learn and act with the new skills you have been shown.

This role will see you employed as an assistant Grounds person and Gardener at Waikumete cemetery.

At Programmed we deliver a high standard quality outcome in Turf maintenance (including mowing, edging and spraying) and other horticultural activities such as maintenance of annual/perennial beds and rose gardens, hedge trimming and mulching.

With the right attitude you will get enough experience and training to go for a Qualified role and progress your career in Horticulture.

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • A Clean full or restricted New Zealand Class 1 driver licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles is a MUST for this role.
  • Naturally, you will have passion for green spaces and enjoying working outdoors
  • Previous experience in horticulture would be viewed as a positive but not necessary
  • Willing to listen & learn how to do things on site.
  • Learn & grow into the horticulture industry.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5-days roster).

There is also some overtime opportunity at a rate of time and half after 40 hours worked.
