The Company
My client is a global company with significant operations in NZ, circa $250M+ and continuing to grow and expand. The company is progressive in nature and has well known products in the FMCG space amongst other product lines. Based in Mt Wellington predominantly, there will be some travel required nationally at the start of the contract.

The Role
The role of Financial Controller will report to CFO based in Australia. Your remit is to be a key member of the NZ management team, providing the financial governance to the NZ business but also being a finance conjugate. This is a broad role encompassing all things finance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor performance against strategic goals and provide analysis on budgets & forecasts as well insights on shifts required by the business
  • Manage the budgeting & forecasting processes
  • Manage and develop a high performing finance team.
  • Ensure all financial frameworks, governance, risk and internal controls are managed effectively to support the business
  • Hedging and cashflow management
  • Ensure all statutory, regulatory and tax compliance is managed accordingly
  • Own the preparation of annual statutory reporting ensuring correct treatment in accordance with IFRS requirements and prepare accounts for consolidation to Group,
  • Other ad hoc duties as required


Your profile:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a senior finance professional who can demonstrate the following attributes:

  • CA or equivalent qualified
  • Proven experience in senior leadership stakeholder management
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller
  • Prior experience in multinationals and FMCG
  • SAP a plus
  • Strong leadership capability
