Job Description

We are on the hunt for our next influx of skilled Fabricator/Welders to work on our clients fleet of marine vessels. We are recruiting now to onboard for work starting NOW!

If you have previous experience working on large merchant ships, or relevant experience welding and fabricating thick plate steel, we want to hear from you.

This is an awesome opportunity to assist with the maintenance and refurbishment of some of NZ's most iconic vessels.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Trade qualified Fabricator/Welders with 5+ years experience, the welding will be a stick predominantly but will also need to do a mix of MIG / TIG at times. Hot work permit preferred but not essential, Confined spaces tickets preferred but not essential.

Prior to employment you will have to complete a weld test that will be sent for x-ray quality assessment and inspection.

PRE EMPLOYMENT REQUISITS - To apply for this role, you must either be a NZ citizen, hold permanent residency within NZ, or have a valid working visa. You must also have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. MUST HAVE - NZ Certificate in Engineering Fabrication Level 4 - Heavy ( or similar overseas qualification such as Boilermaker etc )
