Our Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service (RIDSAS) provides rehabilitation services for people with high and complex needs.

As a Care Manager, your role is legally defined in the IDCC&R Act 2003. This involves the coordination of assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning for individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their outcomes, in compliance with the IDCC&R Act 2003 and IDEA Services policies. You'll lead the development of individual plans, train staff, and collaborate with external agencies. You'll actively participate in the local management team and may fulfil designated functions if appointed by the Forensic Coordination Services and take part in the on-call schedule covering both Auckland and Wellington Services.

• Proven experience in providing structured assessments and developing comprehensive individual client plans is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work positively with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and high and complex behavioural needs to achieve defined outcomes.
• Understanding of person-centred support principles and the ability to apply them in practice.
• Capability to train, coach and support staff effectively in implementing person-centred rehabilitation plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of theoretical models to explain challenging behaviour and the demonstrable ability to develop, implement, and lead positive behaviour support strategies.
