Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Reward team are looking for a DEI & Reward Analyst to join the business to champion and drive a culture of DEI at Auckland Council and across the CCO’s, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.

In addition, this role is pivotal in managing remuneration and rewards consistently and effectively, aligning with our commitment to meet employer obligations and uphold employee entitlements. By fostering an inclusive environment, we aim to enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall organisational success.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships: Build effective connections with internal and external customers for efficient reporting and monitoring.
  • Reviewing job evaluations: Assess job evaluations and support requests from various channels.
  • Coordinating remuneration and DE&I information: Gather and manage data from remuneration and engagement surveys, and external consultants’ advice.
  • Supporting survey submissions and accreditations: Assist in submitting remuneration surveys and DE&I accreditations.
  • Delivering DE&I and recognition initiatives: Collaborate with the team to implement DE&I and recognition programs across the council, and support staff networks in their events.

  • You’ll be a supportive team player, helping colleagues strengthen their knowledge and skills to tackle tasks and solve problems.
  • Your solid knowledge of analysis, combined with your sharp analytical, critical evaluation, and problem-solving skills, will make you an invaluable asset to the team.
  • Ideally you will be degree qualified or have at least 2-3 years’ experience in working in remuneration or HR. You will also have a strong knowledge of modelling tools including Excel and HRIS systems.
