About the role

At Metlifecare we create homes and communities. Places of belonging, villages humming with life. With a range of unique villages nationwide (and more in development), we are a well-known and trusted operator, and we take our role seriously.

We are now ready and searching for an exceptional receptionist at our village, based in North Auckland. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will provide quality and timely reception support which enables effective service delivery for our residents, staff, and visitors.

We are seeking someone to bring their enthusiasm and people skills to the Village Care Home and to be the first point of contact at our office for staff, customers, contractors and visitors. This role is pivotal to ensure the atmosphere at our Village reflects the service standards we excel at.

  • Professionally welcomes visitors and answers all calls in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Ensures the Reception area is kept neat and tidy
  • General administrative support to the Nurse manager and team in general.
  • Take an active role in monitoring all relevant Health and Safety issues, particularly in high-risk areas (i.e.: construction sites).


With a beautiful setting, where better to work and take your lunch breaks in the lovely maturing gardens within the village.

About You

You will have had previous experience in a similar role and understand how first impressions certainly count. You are helpful, go above and beyond for to ensure everyone is welcomed and have their questions answered. You have good all round admin skills and have a can-do attitude and are happy to put your hand up to help when needed. Professional but friendly, you will become the source of knowledge for all things at the village.
