About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Come and join our friendly team in Sunny Taranaki! We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals.
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and will work with a friendly and culturally diverse team of Clinicians and Support Workers; all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness in our Enhanced Mobile Team. The service covers Central New Plymouth and suburbs.
The Enhanced Mobile Team is unique in its added role of medication support for our Whaiora living in their own homes. We support morning and nighttime medications, with normal support provided in the day in between the med runs. We run seven days a week, 52 weeks of the year and have a tight team of nine kaimahi's who love their work.
There are 2 permanent, full-time positions available- 7:30am- 4:00pm, Sunday – Wednesday (32 hours) and 1pm- 9:30pm, Tuesday- Saturday (40 hours)- based in New Plymouth.
Responsibilities include:
Budgeting and independent daily living skills
Attending appointments and advocating for people.
Medication support
Work in a recovery-focused way
Cleaning, cooking, or helping with everyday household tasks in preparation for transition to independent living in the community.
Personal improvement goals

Must have a NZ full driver’s licence
Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offer significant support for support workers to complete this study.
Support Worker experience or similar
Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
