We have an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to join us as a Treasury Associate!
In this role you will ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk measures relating to the BNZ balance sheet and be responsible for funding and liquidity management at BNZ.
What are some of the key day to day tasks the Treasury Associate will be doing?
- Undertake business analytics, regulatory reporting analytics and regulatory compliance reporting for BNZ
- Work with service providers and Risk & Finance teams to ensure integrity of the liquidity modelling, underlying data and analytics, business movements and reporting
- Produce daily liquidity reporting, contribute to reporting to banks governance committees
- Maintain BNZ's funding, liquidity and forecasting models,
- Assist in the upkeep compliance obligations in relation regulatory standards and assist in the improvement of the control and process framework
- Assist with project work across the wider Finance team as necessary

This role offers you the opportunity to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, not only within the Finance Team, but across the wider BNZ. You'll have exposure to different business units and products across the Bank, so you'll enjoy building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders.
What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
To be successful in this role, you will have 1-2 years relevant experience in the financial services industry and have worked in an analytical role managing and interpreting complex data.
Ideally you will have experience with model development and/or supervised analysis, investigation, design and processing works, exposure to non-traded and traded market risk, and a good understanding of Risk Controls and Framework.
You will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to deal with Senior Stakeholders and influence and collaborate at a senior level.
A tertiary qualification in Finance/Economics, Accounting, or Statistics is desirable.
