Waiter Dash Staff Dining Jobs in New Zealand

Kika’s kitchen is a busy Brazilian Restaurant located in north shore. WE also provide catering for business and private events. We are looking for a passionate, committed and dynamic waiter/waitress to join our team and help elevate our guests dining experience.

It’s a permanent and Full-time role with minimum 30 hours a week, on rotating shifts between Mo-Sun, among the core business hours. The hourly rate for this position is $24 to $26 per hour based on experience.

Responsibiliteies:
▪ Take food and beverage orders, serve orders, answer questions and attend to
customer requests.
▪ Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.
▪ Maintain a high standard of table service, using established food handling and
serving techniques.
▪ Ensure that customers receive efficient and courteous service at all times.
▪ Carry out any requests by the, Restaurant Manager / Supervisor.
▪ Ensure the restaurant is kept clean and tidy.
▪ Maintain and keep clean restaurant equipment, tables, crockery, cutlery and
utensils.
▪ Ensure all food, beverage and non-consumables are accounted for and
charged for.
▪ Follow establishment policies – particularly in regard to wastage, breakage and
personal grooming.
▪ Be fully conversant with establishment standards, operations and services and
carry out duties to these standards.
▪ Deal with customer complaints, queries with authority, or refer to supervisor.!
▪ Attend to all customer queries and requests courteously and efficiently and to
establishment standards.
▪ If requested, inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and
clean restrooms when necessary.
▪ Follow set policies to maintain standards for health & safety at work in all
restaurant service areas.
▪ Inform the designated management if any hazards are identified that may affect
work conditions.
▪ Maintain good working relationships with fellow staff and manager.
▪ Maintain positive relationship between kitchen and front of house staff.
▪ Attend staff meetings.

Jo pre-requisites
. Relevant qualification or at least 1-year’ experience in the hospitality industry
. Good communication skills.
. Knowledge and appreciation of Brazilian cuisine would be advantageous, but not a must.
. Fluency in Portuguese language would be a big advantage as most of our clients are Brazilian, but not a must.
. flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
. Excellent attention to detail.
. Ability to multitask, problem solve and act quicky.
. Permanent work rights in New Zealand, with no restrictions.
