Come and join our close knit team in Pukekohe, Auckland, New Zealand making luxury socks.
We are looking for experienced (at least 3 years) Hosiery knitting machine operators/technicians for our day and night shifts.
This role will entail,
Running Sangiacomo & Lonati machines to produce socks in various yarns and styles.
Twisting yarns for knitting when needed,
Prepare machines for operation by selecting and installing components for specialised functions,
Set and operate the controls used to regulate processing operations,
Start machines and monitor their operation to detect faults and ensure effectiveness of operation,
Position and feed machines with yarn,
Repair broken yarns by tying and splicing ends,
Examine finished products for defects and variations, reporting faults in machines, and carries out quality control procedures.
Co-ordinating with the other shifts to ensure production deadlines are met,
Assisting in the control and storage of the Hosiery yarn in the yarn store,
Repairing the machines should breakdowns or "smash ups" occur.
If you have design system experience that would be an advantage.
This is a full time (40 hours) permanent role with remuneration between $30 and $40 depending on experience.
