Our client is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team in Auckland. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team. What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading all aspects of accounting and reporting processes. You will be responsible for managing the month-end closure process, reviewing monthly balance sheets, managing internal control frameworks, and providing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flows. Your leadership skills will be utilised as you lead, manage, develop, and motivate a team of finance professionals. Your ability to identify commercial improvement opportunities will be crucial in this role.
- Manage the month end closure process to ensure key stakeholders have timely and accurate information.
- Review monthly balance sheet and produce rolling balance sheet forecasts.
- Manage the internal control framework to minimise weaknesses in line with enterprise and subsidiary policy.
- Manage the accounting treatment of capital projects.
- Provide P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flows (actual and forecast) in accordance with internal cadence.
- Conduct regular reviews and approval of the daily sales reporting (DSR) and other in unit processes.
- Lead, manage, develop and motivate the finance team.
- Support the enterprise global finance operating model to ensure alignment.
- Identify commercial improvement opportunities.
- Develop strong internal stakeholder and client relationships.

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in accounting and reporting. You will be well-versed in managing financial processes. Your tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance along with your CPA or CA qualification sets you apart. Your strong time management skills allow you to set priorities effectively while your business acumen enables you to understand different functional areas of the business. Your leadership skills are evident in your ability to attract, motivate and develop employees.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
- CPA or CA Qualification
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting and reporting
- Management experince is desrieable but not essential
- Results orientation - Ability to align resources to accomplish key objectives
- Time management - Extremely productive with an ability to set priorities
- Business Acumen - Understanding of different functional areas of the business
- Leading employees - Ability to attract, motivate and develop employees
