Job Description

Expression of Interest - Risk Manager An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Risk Manager to join a dynamic team in Wellington. This role is integral to ensuring the organisation adheres to its regulatory and legislative obligations, while implementing the risk management framework.

As a Risk Manager, your primary responsibility will be driving continuous improvement of the company's Risk Management Framework. You will work closely with key stakeholders, ensuring that organisational risk is identified, assessed, and managed effectively. Your role will involve maintaining and developing systems, processes, and controls within the framework for efficient integration with operations. You will also assist business unit leaders in establishing KRIs and facilitate systematic identification, assessment, and mitigation of risk.

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure systems, processes and controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Maintain and develop the risk management framework.
  • Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management.
  • Incorporate subsidiaries into the risk management framework.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Compliance and Risk Managers.


The ideal candidate for this position will bring experience in financial services and equity markets. You will have proven experience in risk management, specifically setting risk management frameworks in financial services.

  • Relevant degree level tertiary qualification in either Finance, Business or Economics.
  • Experience in Business Continuity Planning and Change Management.
  • Adept with data management and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
