About the Role:
If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study or considering enrolling to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor), we want to hear from you. We are ideally looking for a dedicated, energetic and fun-loving candidate in their third year of study.
This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week across 4 days, Monday to Thursday in the Tui Room with the 4-year-old children, you will need to also have flexibility to work across the centre to support where required.
Joining the Over2’s team, you will be surrounded by experienced teachers that will mentor and couch you to become an excellent qualified teacher with a can do and solution-based attitude. We provide in an atmosphere that is both calm and playful, where children experience loving relationships with our Kaiako.

Role requirements:
We are looking for a Teacher in Taining with a positive and flexible attitude to support the team to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and to continue building strong and professional relationships with all our parents/whanau is a must. A long with the following:
- Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
- Be reliable and willing to go above and beyond
