Job Description:
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive cabling solutions in the central North Island. Based in Hamilton, their expertise spans structured cabling, fibre optic installations, and network maintenance. Work includes both large-scale projects and small, urgent repairs. We are seeking a skilled Cabling Technician and cabling labourers to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Reading plans, installing, and maintaining both data and voice cabling.
  • Conducting installations and terminations of Single Mode and Multi Mode fibre.
  • Quickly diagnosing and resolving issues with data and voice services, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Providing excellent, personal service to all clients, addressing all enquiries with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and utilises the best equipment for testing, fault finding, and installation.
  • Setting up and packing down sites.


To be successful for this role you will:

  • Have proven experience in cabling, including structured cabling.
  • Familiarity with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fibre optic cabling standards and practices.- This would be an advantage!
  • Proficiency in using cabling tools and testing equipment, including CertiFiber Pro Optical Loss Test Sets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • A willingness to learn and show up evey day!
  • Be able to lift upto 25kg.
  • Have a clean criminal hisotry and pass a pre-employment drug test.
