Join our team at Victoria University of Wellington as a Catering Supervisor. This is a Permanent Full Time Position during tertiary education terms. You will be responsible for supervising daily operations and the performance of catering team members, ensuring all tasks associated with food production, front and back of house services, and general support are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Deliver professional customer service by providing a warm, friendly, and welcoming style of service to all customers.
• Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and handling waste and linen.
• Supervise, train, and coordinate staff, modeling high standards of performance and behavior.
• Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service, and adhering to the site food safety plan.
• Manage inventory successfully by correct and well-monitored ordering of stock.

• Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a catering environment.
• Flexible approach and attitude, with good communication skills.
• Hardworking, physically fit, and reliable.
• Able to pass police clearance.
