We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Part-Time (20 hours a week) Catering Assistant to join at one of our senior living sites CHT Hillcrest in Mangere.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for;

• Plating all breakfast requirement for residents, cooking porridge and serving cereals fruits etc.
• Baking tea time requirements - basic baking and confidence to bake for large numbers
• Assist the chef with food plating at lunch time
• Provide excellent customer service skills
• Ensuring kitchen and serving area is kept immaculate, attending to and cleaning dishes
• Adhering to all rosters and food safety procedures at all times and using safe food pro.

If you're our successful candidate;

• You will have high standards in personal presentation, highly empathetic and compassionate as well as a have a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality with a 'can do' attitude.
• Have an interest in supporting others and providing exceptional levels of service and have a natural affinity with people in an aged care facility.
• You will demonstrate good working knowledge of commercial cleaning and infection control procedures and be flexible to work under short notice.
• Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience in an aged care environment.
• Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
