Our teams are professional, focused on delivery of best practice in Parks Reserves and Grounds Maintenance services to our clients and the members of the public.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join the Christchurch Burnham based team - this is a great full time permanent opportunity for anyone willing to learn.
A bit about the role:
As a Grounds Person, you will:
- Need to plan / manage / undertake mowing and grounds maintenance of designated sites to contract specification and or instruction.
- Need to ensure that high quality, timely and planned service is delivered within the required timeframes.
- Ensure a high level of safety is adhered to in order to protect the public, other team members, and yourself.
- Enjoy working in team environment with being self-motivated
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
We are looking for a self motivated team member who has:
- Full Class 1 Drivers license required, Class 2 and above would be a high advantage
- Experience in operating Large Tractors would be highly regarded
- Experience in Upfront / Ride-on Mowing or Park Maintenance would be desirable, but full training can be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in Horticulture practices would be desirable but full training can be provided for the right candidate
- Familiar with electronic field data entry or computer experience an advantage
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a team
- Great communication skills and ability of dealing with customers
