  • 32 - 40 hours per week


For over 35 years, Odyssey House Trust Christchurch has been working with men affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues. Our new custom built residence in Burnside, accommodates up to 24 men at any one time, living in a therapeutic community.

We focus on the wellbeing of individuals, family and community, so there is a lot to facilitate and support as we navigate the journey to wellness for our residents.

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate groups for the residents, bringing your skills and knowledge to present and develop content.
  • Participate in the programme and the variety that that brings
  • Work closely with a caseload, preparing treatment plans
  • Be innovative with new projects allocated based on skills and interests
  • Role model behaviours based on our service pillars of trust and respect
  • Manage the paperwork that goes with a clinical role


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a registered health professional
  • Have experience working with clients in the addiction sector
  • Have excellent organisation skills, being able to respond to proactive and reactive requirements of the residents
  • Show good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, family/whanau, colleagues, and our community partners
  • Have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work Monday - Friday and be a part of our On Call roster at evenings and weekends.
