He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role: As the Information Strategy and Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in aligning KiwiRail’s information strategy with its broader business goals. Your mission is to design, implement, and lead key information initiatives that drive efficiency, collaboration, and informed decision-making across KiwiRail.
You’ll work alongside the Data and Information Architect to ensure our information architecture meets business needs while fostering innovation and adaptability. From strategic planning to leading projects and improving governance frameworks, your expertise will shape how KiwiRail leverages information for success.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing an information strategy aligned with KiwiRail’s objectives
Establishing governance frameworks to maintain data quality, security, and compliance
Leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful information management projects
Identifying opportunities for improvement and staying ahead of industry trends
Coaching teams and promoting a culture of continuous learning
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring: To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Over 10 years of experience in information management, with at least 3 years leading strategy
Expertise in implementing enterprise data management platforms using Microsoft technologies
A strong understanding of frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving and commercial acumen
