Our client is a well-established wealth management firm overseeing more than $2 billion in client funds, with the broader group managing over $7 billion.

Their clients includes high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, charitable trusts, iwi, and other institutional investors. The firm offers a diverse range of investment solutions across multiple strategies, both domestically and globally.

Their portfolios are allocated across NZ/global equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, with external fund managers engaged locally and internationally. They are currently seeking to appoint an Investment Analyst to join their Auckland office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monthly performance reporting and attribution analysis
  • Maintain and develop risk and liquidity models
  • Preparation of stress testing, liquidity analysis, and other reports for the Investment Committee
  • Liaison with external fund managers used by the firm
  • Meeting and evaluating other international fund managers
  • Development of manager research factsheets and contributions to Asset Class Reviews
  • Process improvement and refinement of existing processes
  • Minute keeping for the Investment Committee
  • Assisting with preparation of client presentation materials
  • Produce investment commentaries on a regular basis, including month or quarter end publications for the different client sets.
  • Be prepared to liaise as needed with clients and administrators to enable the smooth implementation of investment recommendations
  • Other ad hoc, investment focused tasks as required


We're seeking a candidate who will excel at handling large datasets with meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong numeracy and financial analysis skills along with a strong feel for numbers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly advanced Excel—is essential, as is knowledge of Morningstar and familiarity with Bloomberg.

The ideal candidate will be versatile and capable of handling a variety of tasks while continually seeking process improvements. We are interested in speaking with individuals who have 18 months - 4 years of experience in funds management, investment consulting, corporate finance/professional services or related fields.
