The team at Loretta are looking for a dynamic and results-driven sales professional to help grow our functions and events business. This is a part-time role for someone who knows how to sell, build strong client relationships, and think strategically about growing a customer base.
If you enjoy connecting with people, spotting opportunities, and turning enquiries into confirmed bookings, this could be a great fit.
About the Role
This is a flexible part-time position, starting at 8 hours per week with the potential to grow for the right candidate. The role pays $31 per hour, and there’s a structured bonus for meeting financial targets. Staff meals are included!
The key focus is selling our function spaces, acquiring new customers, and ensuring repeat business by maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll also be thinking about how to position our venue more effectively, developing partnerships with businesses and accommodation providers, and coming up with creative ways to attract more bookings.
What You’ll Be Doing
-Actively selling and promoting functions and events, ensuring our spaces are booked and busy
-Actively seeking out new clients while nurturing relationships with existing ones
-Showcasing our function spaces and menus, making sure potential customers understand what we offer
-Working towards financial targets, with a structured bonus if they’re met
-Identifying new business opportunities and partnerships across the city
-Hosting prospective clients, ensuring they have a great experience from the start
Who We’re Looking For
This role suits someone with a solid track record in sales—ideally in hospitality, functions, or events. You’ll be confident, professional, and great at building rapport. Selling comes naturally to you, and you understand how to turn enquiries into confirmed bookings.
We’re after someone who’s proactive, strategic, and results-driven. Given the nature of the role and the hours, we're looking for a self-starter who is happy to organise their working hours around their personal lives. Work from home: there is an opportunity for a portion of this role to be done remotely, but there is a requirement to be on site at least once a week.
If you have the experience, ambition, and ability to make things happen, we’d love to hear from you. Please draft a CV which explains why you'd be a good fit for this role, and please ensure your CV has at least two professional references included.
