With a programme of market growth and continued innovation in our teams in Dunedin we are keen to hear from senior experienced Product Development Engineers to join our teams working on new cooking or dishwashing product.
You will enjoy working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary engineering project or projects. Our PD engineers work from early-stage product concept generation right through to implementation and serial production applying Learning First Product Development methodology. We continue to innovate and challenge each other with human-centred design thinking in developing the next cooking and dishwashing products we are proud to take to our customers across the world. What we're looking for…
Responsible for driving collaborative work with all branches of the business to achieve your objectives (e.g. electronic, software, procurement and safety & compliance engineering teams), you will be hands-on and can demonstrate ability in practical test setups, capturing data and performing your own analysis, and modelling and simulation of subsystem behaviours to drive key decisions around component design or selection. You thrive in an environment where you can own the results of your hard work and be involved in managing your contribution through the entire Product Development process.
We love our people to be curious, innovative, and practical, and always striving for outstanding results. Good planning is an important aspect of your consistent track record of on-time, on-budget work delivery that meets or exceeds requirements.
You'll need a degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Engineering Science with at least 5+ years' relevant experience in a relevant Product Development or Product Design environment. A background in complex appliance, automotive or aeronautical industries is desired but not essential.
