My client is a publicly listed Japanese company with a foothold in NZ. The business operates within the heavy equipment industrial space with a full service offering from sales to servicing, across the country using both direct sales channels and service agents throughout NZ.
The offices are located in Takanini, close to the motorway with parking on site and a team of circa 20 staff.
The Role
The role of service administrator will report directly to the Service Manager and will be responsible for the following:
Liaise with customers in relation to booking scheduled servicing and breakdowns for heavy machinery
Create and issue quotes / estimates to customers
Manage the allocation of human resources to each service job
Collate WIP timecards and parts costing data to create customer invoices
Open and close work jobs, including invoicing customers
Submit warranty claims on individual machines to head office in a timely and accurate manner
Work closely with the technical support team/ dealer team and services agents on warranty and goodwill claims
Follow up customers in relation to ontime payments in accounts
Book out parts for specific service jobs
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Your profile:
To be considered for this role we are looking for an individual with the following attributes:
Ideally 2 years working in a service or parts customer service role
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships across the different departments to enable a service driven ethos
An ability to understand how your role integrates into the business
Strong systems ability
An enquiring mind and problem solving capability
